Why these settings matter together

A timer without shuffle still lets participants sitting near each other compare answers question by question. Shuffle without a timer removes that risk but leaves the pace entirely up to the participant. Used together, each attempt runs on its own clock and its own question order — closer to how a supervised, in-person test actually behaves.
