In Google Docs, go to File → Download → PDF Document (.pdf).

No — there's no direct Google Docs connection. Downloading the doc as a PDF first works just as well and takes a few seconds.

A standard PDF export only includes the finalized document text, not open comments or suggestions, so it's worth resolving those first if they matter.
